Jesse Robbins Coin Silver Butterfly featuring Blue Gem Turquoise

This is the first butterfly I have made. It was constructed by hand hammering a heavy coin silver ingot blank into sheet. Careful lining and chase work, along with repousse' work, brought the wings to life. A magnificent  large Blue Gem cab makes the body, with two small Blue Gem stones making the eyes. This pendant is strung on hand cut elk hide lace with a handmade mercury dime bead for a keep at the back of the necklace.

Size: 2 1/2 inches high by 3 5/8 inch wide. The leather measures 36 inches.
